Got an alignment on the Galaxie. Had been putting it off since “fixing” the front suspension. Steering now tight *and* not erratically wandering/pulling right. Now one-finger easy and balanced.

In other news, tire guy says the ‘59 Edsel wagon in the lot I reported on nearly a year ago may be competitively priced. I shouldn’t, but.

After the M3 went from DD to Funmobile, I swapped out the 6 year old snow tires with new wheels pilot super sports and an alignment... Nothing like it! I honestly thought I had a bad wheel bearing the tire noise was so bad on the old set.

I am informed his cousin got it for a wedding, and then basically dumped it on his dad and him (the tire guy’s dad owns that lot). It has been there for something like a year and a half, if not more like two years.

I’ve still got a not-quite-right brake drum/hub issue causing some wobble, but I think that was being made far worse by the fact the wheels weren’t, y’know, aligned. I have also replaced the last two old tires on the car.

Land yachts are fun :) I love my ‘66 T-bird. You should totally nab that Edsel wagon, and maybe  road trip it!
